Mani Ratnam's next with Vijay Sethupathi?

Mani Ratnam’s last film was Kaatru Veliyidai which was met with mixed reviews. The filmmaker has started planning for his next film which would be his 26th film.

Reports suggest that he is keen to have Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi in his next and that talks have been initiated. Sethupathi is also said to be impressed with the storyline and has given his go ahead signal.

Meanwhile, it is also said that this project will be a multistarrer that would have Arvind Swami, Faahadh Faasil and Dulquer Salmaan as the pivots. It is speculated that Mani Ratnam’s regular AR Rahman will be composing the tunes and Santhosh Sivan will be the DoP. The film will be a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam which is the reason that there are Fahadh Faasil and Dulquer Salmaan.
