Manorama Aachi passes away

Legendary actress and comedienne Manorama, fondly called as Aachi passed away on Saturday the 10th October late night at a city hospital in Chennai. She is survived by her son Boopathy. She was 78. The veteran suffered from health issues for a long time and was recently hospitalized. The final end came due to multiple organ failure.

Entire Tamil film fraternity came and paid their last respects to the actress. Ajith who normally keeps away from any event made an exception and came with his wife Shalini to pay his respects to the departed soul. Others who paid their respects were former CM of TN Karunanidhi, actors Rajinikanth, Vijay, Vijaykumar, Vemal, Sivakarthikeyan, Kushbu and many others.

Manorama holds the unique distinction of having worked with five Chief Ministers and has acted in more than 1200 Tamil films. She holds a Guinness World Record for acting in more than 1,000 films. Nowrunning prays for the departed soul to rest in peace and offers its condolences to the bereaved family.
