Mersal is in fresh trouble

When it comes to a Vijay film, looks like it will have to face a lot of roadblocks before its release. The latest film that falls under this category is his Mersal which appears to have been hit by a fresh obstacle.

While it is necessary to obtain an NOC (No Objection certificate)

from Animal Welfare Board before the censor certification, it appears that the team of Mersal has not done this for their film despite using animals and birds in their film. However, the censor board officials had seen the film but were waiting for the Team of Mersal to furnish the NOC from AWBI.

Before obtaining the NOC from AWBI, director Atlee and producer Thenandal Film Studios had mentioned in their social media pages that the film has been certified with U/A. This has created a problem for the film’s release. On a side note, hero Vijay had also met Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi Palanisamy and it is said that it could be because of this issue.
