‘Mission Mangal' in cinemas on Aug. 15

Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Mission Mangal’ is set to reach theatres on August 15, on the occasion of Nation’s Independence Day.

Written and directed by Jagan Shakti, the movie also features TaapseePannu, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi, and Kirti Kulhari et al.

The film is produced by Akshay Kumar's production house Cape of Good Films, and Fox Star Studios.

R Balki, who directed Akshay Kumar in ‘Padman’, is also a producer of the flick, which narrates the story of a scientist at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) who contribute to the Mars Orbiter Mission which marked India’s first Interplanetary expedition.

The story describes the planning, gathering, unity, obstacles, failure, and success of the team that was running the ‘Mission Mangal.’
