Mixed bag for film stars in AP

It was a mixed bag for film personalities in the results of simultaneous assembly and Lok Sabha elections announced on Friday. Vijaya Shanti and Jaya Sudha lost their respective MLA seats in Telangana while their costar Jaya Prada got defeat in Uttar Pradesh. Comedy actor Babu Mohan sprang a major surprise defeating former deputy chief minister Damodar Rajanarasimha.


In Seemandhra, Nandamuri Balakrishna who is facing the first election of his life sailed away with an easy win. His Ex-costar Roja who lost two elections already became lucky for the third time. Producers Murali Mohan, Maganti Babu and Kodali Nani emerged victorious. While Murali Mohan and Maganti Babu won as MPs, Nani won his Gudivada MLA seat for the third time.On the other side, Character artist Hema (from JSP), Villain GV (from Congress), Producer Chengala Venkat Rao (from YSR Congress) and Director Puri Jagannadh’s brother, Uma Ganesh Shankar lost the battle.
