Manam Telugu Movie
Nageswar Rao aka Bittu loses his parents (Krishna and Radha) in a road accident and later in life he becomes as successful businessman. Later on he bumps in to Nagarjuna (Naga Chaitanya) and Priya (Samantha) who exactly resembles his parents. In one more coincidence, he meets his soulmate Anjali (shriya). Later on an old patient, Chaitanya (ANR) enters in to the story. Who is he? and what changes he brings in their lives? How did Bittu manage to reunite his parents in their second birth? is the rest of the story.
Coming to the performances part, Akkineni Nageswara Rao delivered a solid performance as he did through out his life. It is adorable to see the big man on screen for one last time. The boozing scenes and that particular dialogue of ANR, "Prathi vadu tagi Devadas antadu" pricks your heart.
Nagarjuna portrays one of his career best role and his son Naga Chaitanya looked very much matured in two different kinds of roles. The lead ladies Shriya and Samantha contributed their part in performance packed roles. The cameos of Amala, Akhil and Amitabh Bachchan are surprise package. Rest of the characters are good.
Vikram Kumar, the director just delivered a classic here. He got it right everything about the film. He drew excellent performances from his cast and crew. And the novel subject and excellent screenplay did the trick.
Anoop Rubens' BGM talent is top notch and PS Vinod's cinematography is bang on the target. The art work is so fine and so are the production values. Pravind Pudi does a commendable job with editing.
Finally, Manam is a classical family entertainer which takes you to a ride of all the emotions. The film is a fitting tribute to the Legendary actor ANR and as well as the 100 years of Indian Cinema.
