Any remakes will be compared with the original. That's the main problem if any, with "Vasoolraja M.B.B.S". Those who had seen the original "Munnabhai M.B.B.S" never would have expected "Vasoolraja M.B.B.S." to be an almost exact copy. Those who haven’t seen the original finds it as a good entertainer

Kamal Hassen plays the role of a gangster who had initially set out to be a doctor. His parents (Nagesh and Rohini Hattangadi) in the village believe that he is a doctor. So, when they come to the city, the thug and his men create the ambience of a hospital in the slum, the men pretending to be doctors and patients. On one such visit Nagesh meets old friend Prakashraj Dean of a medical college. In the college Prakashraj is trying out laugh therapy to cure patients with high BP. When Nagesh proposes a marriage of his son with Sneha the daughter of Prakashraj the truth comes out. To console his father, Kamal and his cronies manipulate the entrance exam and get admission to the same college of Prakashraj. It's a hilarious comedy, with humor and sentiment, raising some relevant social issues too, particularly related to the medical profession

Vasool Raja is a faithful remake of the original. It's an exact copy of the original with a few location and furniture changes. But the dialogues by Crazy Mohan lack the punch and humor that the original had. Prabhu, playing Arshad Warsi's (Circuit) role, faded into the background even before the film was halfway through. He did not certainly look like a street goon. And Sneha's character will be forgotten from your mind as you get out of the theatre. Kamal Hassan did a good job, handling the humor with ease. But If one is looking for Kamal Haasan the innovative film-maker, Kamal Haasan, the sensitive storyteller of "Hey!Ram" or Haasan the spectacular, he is simply not there in "Vasoolraja

Definitely there are going to be two opinions about the movie, whatever the case Vasoolraja is doing well commercially.
