Shruti (Vaani Kapoor, an ambitious middle class girl and Shakti (Nani, a happy go lucky youth meet in an unexpected way and they become partners in marriage planning company. However Shruti always keeps love and business away. As days pass by that rule do not hold good and brings in lot of changes in their lives. How they address those form the actual story.

The role is a tailor made character for Nani and he walks through it effortlessly. Vaani Kapoor is pretty but could not fit in the big shoes of Anushka Sharma from the original. Yesteryear glam girl Simran appears in a cameo and is okay. Rest of the characters are fine.

Dire

ctor Gokul bagged mixed results with his maiden venture. He did not try too many things different in script and screenplay and remained faithful to the original. However he could not recreate the feel generated by the original.

Camera work is good and Editing could have been a lot better. Dharan Kumar scored pass marks in back ground score and did a commendable job in songs department. Production values of YRF are top notch.

Finally, Aaha Kalyanam is a decent watch for audience who did not watch Band Baaja Baraat. For the people who watched and liked the original will see it as luster less remake.
