Dr Vijay Nambiar (Suresh Gopi) is a famous neurosurgeon. His wife Dr Nalini Nambiar (Abhirami) is a gynecologist in the same hospital. They lead a contented and busy family life. ‘Appothikkiri’ plots the intriguing issues that affect their life.
Jayasurya does the role of Subi Joseph, a patient in the hospital. He had shed 10 kilos in order to suit this character. Asif Ali and Meera Nandan are also seen in important roles as Prathapan and Daisy.
Arun, Indrans, Raghavan, Neeraj Madhav, Thambi Antony, Jayan, Leshoy, Mohanakrishnan, Jayaraj Varier, and Seema G Nair are also part of the cast. The story, script, and direction of ‘Appothikkiri’ are by Madhav Ramdas.
In the banner of Arambankudiyil Cinemas, ‘Appothikkiri’ is produced by Dr Baby Mathew and Dr George Mathew. Hari Nair wields camera for the movie.
