Chandu (Naga Chaitanya) is a small time crook and an expert swindler. He aims to get quick rich so as to save his innocent father from a life term jail sentence and to fund her sister's medical education. Then there is Manikyam (Posani Krishna Murali) gang which commits a bank robbery but losses the booty to Chandu. Needless to add, Manikyam gang is after Chandu's skin. The rivalry further intensifies after Chandu learning that Manikyam has a role in his innocent father getting jailed. Chandu chalks out a plan for revenge with the help of Bullet Babu (Brahmanandam). But this new combination pans out in to a too big scam. What happens further in the story has to be seen on the big screen.

Naga Chaitanya gives his best shot for this film but the rigidity he possess inside just refuse to go away. His best efforts till date in dances even spelled the same. Kriti Sanon is drop dead beautiful but her role has very little substance. Posani does justice to his role but hardly makes a value addition to the movie. Ravibabu is totally wasted with out proper characterization. Brahmanandam, Viva Harsha, Sana and team did their part. Rao Ramesh and Pooja Ravichandran are adequate.

Dohchay reminds us off too many films like 9211 (short film), Raja Natwarlal, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, Love Actually, Run Raja Run etc. Sudhir Varma failed to balance things with inconsistent pace which can be felt with slow momentum start and a hurried climax. Sudhir varma should have made an impact if the con part is more entertaining and loopholes been less in number. The director seem to have taken the most important story part very lightly and ended up with a predictable fare. The songs and the romantic track works as a speed breakers more than a part of the story.

The editing by Karthika Srinivas is good, but the flow is missing even though the film is just 138 minutes long. The cinematography by Richard Prasad is top class and it elevated the action scenes. Sunny MR's background score is engaging. Dialogues are routine and the production values of SVCC are grand.

Finally, Dohchay ends up as a predictable film lifting its formula from various films. Naga Chaitanya and Swamy Ra Ra director just managed to give us a a stretched rehash. If you can manage to sit down for the whole film with a few thrilling moments and some comedy scenes, you can give it a try once
