Superstar Kidnap Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2015 | UA | Comedy
Critics:
Superstar Kidnap is a strict one time watch. The movie despite some directional flaws, good comedy will be a time pass affair especially with no big films at the box office. But make sure you go with no expectations.

Superstar Kidnap is the story of three young lads - Jai (Adarsh Balakrishnan), Nandoo (Nandoo) and Bhupal (Bhupal). Jai is the son of a film producer. He is a rich brat who got spoilt with booze and girls and finally gets drowned in neck deep financial troubles. Bhupal is an aspiring film director. He has a good script for Mahesh Babu and pins all his hopes on Jai to meet the Superstar. And then there is Nandoo who is cheated by his girl friend Priya (Poonam Kaur). Nandoo finds that Jai traps Priya and is waiting for a revenge. But situations lead them to join hands for kidnapping the Superstar himself. What happens next in their life forms the rest.

Adarsh Balakrishnan, Nandoo and Bhupal have got in to their shoes of their characters very well. Poonam Kaur has got a crucial role and Shradda das is chipped in as Lady Gabbar Singh. Both the girls have upped the glamour quotient in the film. Vennela Kishore is one of the major highlights of the film and he almost carried the second half on his shoulders. Fish Venkat and Posani are good in comedy but not are utilized properly. Rest of the cast are okay.

Debut director Sushanth Reddy should be appreciated for coming up with a refreshing subject. He made sure that first half of the film is very pacy embedded with good comedy. The interval bang is decent, however the narration part is let down in the second half. Vennela Kishore, Posani, Fish Venkat and Shraddha Das saved the second half from perishing to some extent. The animation sequence in the second half is a good idea but is stretched too much.

Sai Karthik had delivered a good album with peppy songs which compliments the movie concept. Most songs are situational. However the back ground score is totally disappointing. The camera work is fine and editing is decent. Production values are adequate.

Superstar Kidnap is a strict one time watch. The movie despite some directional flaws, good comedy will be a time pass affair especially with no big films at the box office. But make sure you go with no expectations.
