Jayammu Nischayammu Raa Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2016 | UA | Comedy
Critics:
Jayammu Nischayammu Raa is an average fare due to sluggish and lengthy second half. The movie works for some comedy and nice emotions here and there. The family audience can enjoy the film if promoted well.

Saravamangalam (Srinivas Reddy) is from Karimnagar and always follows a Swamiji (Jeeva) hoping that his advice will change his fate. One day, he gets a government job but is posted in Kakinada. He wants to get a transfer to his native so that he can take care of his ailing mother. But then he falls in love with Rani (Poorna) after the Swamiji says she is her lucky charm. The drastic changes that come in his life after that forms the rest of the story.

The character of Sarvamangalam has different shades like a responsible son, superstitious youth and a hesitant lover. Srinivas Reddy pulled it off effortlessly. Poorna is seen in a homely role but has little scope to perform. Sri Vishnu once again impresses in a lively role while Ravi Varma performed well as a cunning superior. Posani and others did a good job with the comedy.

New director Shiva Raj Kanumuri took up a story which had the shades of several films of the past. Hero Characterization is the major strength for the film but it can not be the sole saviour for the film. The first half goes good with some fresh comedy but then the second half gets serious and loses steam. Pretty Ordinary screenplay and average direction did not help the film. Morever, there are no enough twists and the movie is too predictable as a result.

Ravichandra has come up with an average album while Karthik Rodriguez Music score is good. The cinematography is good with come good locales of AP and Telangana captured. Editor Venkat is a disappointment as some portions of the second half can be chopped easily to reduce the lag. Production Values are good.

Finally, Jayammu Nischayammu Raa is an average fare due to sluggish and lengthy second half. The movie works for some comedy and nice emotions here and there. The family audience can enjoy the film if promoted well.
