Natpe Thunai Review
An assortment of sports scenario, friendship, and fight for the rights forms the blueprint of this sports genre, which results to be the umpteenth time experience for viewers.
An international level Hockey player who quits the game for friendship returns to play to rescue a local ground is the plot with a mix of little humor, importance to friendship, usual political hindrances and a must have love plot.
Hip Hop Thamizhan "Aadhi" wearing multiple hats of responsibilities in this movie... does fit in ideal as a hockey player, delivers good hummable numbers that attract targetted youth, carryforwards his importance for friendship (proven through the casting of well-known RJ'S/VJ's and narration) and tries to contribute as a creative director, as well.
Harish Uthaman in Hockey coach role fits in, but an accustomed one for a few decades.
The stick-up artist amongst the entire cast is absolutely Karu Palaniappan as the corrupt sports minister Arichandran and makes it remarkable. His dialogue modulation and casual way of expressions are to the dot. A great sign that he can definitely take up any character roles with ease.
Last 20 minutes brings in a real match feel, but dejà vu feel of many such movies could not be avoided.
With Hip-Hop on the harmony... be rest assured for a song every 20 minutes. Will work for youngsters, with catchy lyrics that might excite them.
As a well-known proven format for many decades, nothing beholds much, neither overwhelm out of this sports genre.
