Nikhil Mahajan's I Love You is the sort of thriller that doesn't know where to go after its potent one-line setup. It features a slasher who's a direct product of vintage-Bollywood stalker stories.

The comparison is definitely unfair, but given that the film is an ode to superstar Shah Rukh Khan, the inspiration for the stalker is quite uninspiring and amateur. What makes it feel so is mainly that there's no backstory and a very caricaturish performance.
