Dharmapuri Tamil Movie

Dharmapuri is an action filled wholesome entertainer. Vijayakanth is the central character of the movie. Director Perarasu who has given super hits such as Thirupachy, Sivakasi and Thirupathi has directed the movie.

The true soul of the movie lies in its paternal sentiment. The story spun around this sentiment, tells about an honest man and his struggle to free the society from corruption.

The hero belongs to a middle class family and earns his daily bread by lending chairs and cooking vessels to marriage halls. The subject matter is nothing new. But, according to the director Perarasu the narration is different. With its right mix of comedy and sentiments, the movie will be fascinating, enlightening and deeply moving, according to the director.

Lakshmi Roy, the heroine of the movie appears as a village girl. She is Vijayakanth's cousin and love interest. Perarasu has penned the lyrics and Srikanth Deva has directed the music. A.M.Rathnam is the producer.

According to industry sources, the movie is aimed at the B and C class audience. As previous Vijayakanth's movies, Dharmapuri too will go down well with women audience. With a right proportion stunning action scenes, thought provoking dialogues that have social relevance, soul string dialogues, the movie promises to be a crowd puller.

With Perarasu's previous movie Tirupathi completing 100 days and Vijayakanth's Perarasu doing well at the box office, Dharmapuri team is on cloud nine.

The movie is slated for release for Dewali 2006.
