Simha Putrudu Telugu Movie

We are so much conditioned to mediocrity that even though we are fed with more it every day, we conveniently ignore it as though it doesn't bother us at all. The reason we are doing this is because we have got so much used to mediocrity that we have started normalizing it. 'Simha Putrudu' is the output of a shoddy attempt and what we get out of it can be termed 'mediocre'.

The film stars Tamil actor, the recent national sensation Dhanush and Tamannaah. The story revolves around a father and his son; namely Raj Kiran and Dhanush. To keep away Dhanush from Village politics, his father Raj Kiran sends him off to his uncle's house but inevitably he returns to fall in love with his childhood sweetheart Tamannaah and in the process save his father from the evil clutches of Prakash Raj.

The film brings forth communalism from a village perspective, giving us the taste of village rage and war. The film was release in Andhra keeping in mind the recent craze for Dhanush and the popularity surrounding. However, in the process the director seemed to have forgotten the fact that experiments may not click every time.

Performances were over the top, especially the one from Prakash Raj that appeared over done and loud. He keeps throwing things in anger; variety of things such as cell phone, slippers or even his own dhoti and anything comes to his hand. Dhanush as usual was fitting in his role but one would definitely feel that his involvement was shortcoming. Tamannaah on the other played her part with sincere effort and ease. She's come long way now and off late any role that comes her way; she does cent percent justice to them.

Comedy didn't seem to fit the flow the film; it appeared cheap and unprepared. Certain twists in the film are so predictable that well before five minutes you can foresee the twist. Music is loud and unwelcoming; one can understand that music composed keeping in mind village background but still there seems to be lack of quality in the output. Direction appeared goal less; as though the director had no purpose or reason behind the making of the film.

In one line; 'Simha Putrudu' is a film with ulterior purpose and it's a complete waste of effort.
