Muhammed Mustafa's next goes on floors on Jan 3

Actor-director Muhammed Mustafa is all set to start the shooting for his next directorial in Thiruvananthapuram on January 3. The award winning actor-director’s maiden film as director was ‘Kappela’ (2020). The untitled film stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mala Parvathy and a string of newcomers.

The film, produced by Riya Shibu under the banner of HR Pictures, is written by Suresh Babu, who scripted popular television soap 'Uppum Mulakum.' Fazil Nassar is the cinematographer while Chaman Chakko is the editor. Music for the film is scored by Midhun Mukundan.

The film has locations including Tenkasi, Madurai and Bengaluru. New faces will have crucial roles in the movie.

Mustafa, who started off as an actor in 2005, has acted in several films. In 2015, he won a Special Mention in the National Film Awards for his performance in the film 'Ain'. Besides, 'Kappela’ fetched him the Best Debut Director Award in the Kerala State Film Awards.
