'Munnariyippu' selected for Moscow Film Festival

Cameraman Venu’s debut directorial venture ‘Munnariyippu’ which stars Mammootty in the lead role is selected for competition in the Moscow International Film Festival in the official category. The film festival has the Asian category as well.

‘Munnariyippu’ was also selected for Chicago International Film Festival and Indian Panorama of International Film Festival in 2014. The movie has also garnered several awards at various Award functions.

Mammootty does the role of C K Raghavan, an ex-convict who is out from jail after his period of imprisonment. ‘Munnariyippu’ is a mystery thriller which leaves the audience shocked at its climax.

Aparna Gopinath does Anjali Arakkal, a journalist who helps Raghavan to write his autobiography. The cast also includes Nedumudi Venu, Renji Panicker, Prathap Pothen, Joy Mathew, Saiju Kurup, Muthumani, and Prithiraj in a cameo role.

‘Munnariyippu’ is produced by Ranjith under the banner of Gold Coin Motion Pictures.
