Music director James Vasanthan arrested

Music director James Vasanthan was arrested from his residence in Palavakkam for allegedly abusing his neighbour, Radha Venuprasad (63). Radha has complained that the music director had shown indecent gestures and verbally abused her.

Following her complaint, the police have arrested him under Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Women Harassment Act.

James Vasanthan has been having a long standing dispute with Radha since he started constructing his new house adjoining her property.

Radha had earlier sent a legal notice to the music director citing that he did the construction without proper protective covering and dust suppression measures under building rules. Radha alleged that she being a chronic asthmatic fell sick due to this.

Following the latest complaint, James Vasanthan has been remanded to judicial custody after being produced in the court.
