Music director M S Viswanathan dies

Music director M S Viswanathan who rocked the Tamil music scenario for almost more than five decades breathed his last, yesterday the 14th July at a private hospital in Chennai. The legend was indisposed for quite some time and was even at the course of returning to normalcy but destiny had other plans for him.



He was 87 and is survived by four sons and three daughters. The cremation is said to happen today the 15th of July in Chennai. His body is kept at his Santhome residence for people to pay homage to the departed soul. Tamil film industry and its activities will come to a halt today as a mark of respect for the music composer.



Started his film career with a Sivaji Ganesan starrer Panam, Viswanathan’s musical journey peaked with his combo with Ramamurthy. The legend has composed for more than 1000 films across all south Indian languages. Nowrunning prays for the departed soul to rest in peace and prays to the Almighty to give strength to the family members.
