Chennai, Sep 12 (IANS) Producer L. Sreedhar, who is gearing up for the release of Telugu romantic-comedy "Potugadu", says a good music album is equivalent to half of the overall promotions of a film.

"Music can't be taken lightly because it is also one of the most important part of a film's promotion. Half of the promotion is taken care with the help of good music. The music of 'Potugadu' has garnered lot of attention and this in turn has paved way for a strong buzz around the film," Sreedhar told IANS.

The song 'Bujji Pilla' from the film's soundtrack has turned out to be a youth anthem. Tamil actor Silambarasan crooned the song.

"The credit goes to Manchu Manoj (hero) and Achu Rajamani (music director). It's because of their effort, the film's music is where it is today. They didn't hesitate to go out of the way and try something totally out-of-the-box. It has worked in the film's favour," he added.

"Potugadu", which is slated to release Saturday, is the remake of Kannada blockbuster "Govindaya Namaha". The film also features Simran Kaur Mundi, Sakshi Chowdhary, Rachel and Anupriya in pivotal roles.

Talking about his film, Sreedhar said, "I loved the original, and therefore, decided to remake it. 'Potugadu' has come out very well. It will be a rollercoaster ride for the audiences. I think Manoj's stunts, which he pulled off without body doubles, will be one of the highlights".

The film is directed by Pawan Wadeyar, who had helmed the original as well.
