Musician Balabhaskar is dead

Musician and violinist Balabhaskar, who was seriously injured along with his wife in a road accident last week, died in Thiruvananthapuram in the early hours of Tuesday.

The accident took place last Tuesday at Pallipuram on the outskirts of the capital city. His two-year-old daughter had died in the mishap. Balabhaskar, 40, his wife and their driver were brought in a serious condition to a private hospital in the city.

Balabhaskar made his debut as a music composer in the film ‘Mangalya Pallakku’ in 1998 at the age of 17. He has composed music for several films, including ‘Moksham’ and ‘Kannadikkadavathu’ and albums.

He was a talented violinist. The funeral will be held on October 3.
