Musician Dakshinamoorthy passes away

Veteran music composer Dakshinamoorthy passed away in Chennai today at around 8 pm. The veteran had been ailing for some time.

He has been considered a guru for most of the musicians and KJ Yesudas is one among his disciples. He was known for diving deep into the world of Carnatic music and bringing its nuances into film music. He has composed songs for about 125 films and has more than 850 songs to his credit.

He has worked with almost three generations of singers during his lifetime.
