Nadigar Sangam building construction stayed
May 8, 2017 JBNadigar Sangam under the new leadership of Vishal, Nasser and others had a grand function for the stone laying event for the construction of Nadigar Sangam building in which most of the leading actors of the industry took part.
A tender was also called for from suitable bidders a few days ago. However, there is a setback of sorts when a PIL by Srirangan and Annamalai, came up for hearing wherein they had said that the construction of the building is in an encroached area of around 33 feet wide public road.
Hearing the PIL, Justices N Kirubakaran and V Parthiban at a special sitting ruled that an Advocate Commissioner(AC) should inspect the area and give a report. K Elango, who is appointed as AC, would measure the property of Nadigar Sangam with the help of the Assistant Director of Survey and the Tahsildar, Guindy taluk. Both would co-operate with the AC and extend all assistance by providing the documents. The Nadigar Sangam also assured that till all these roadblocks are cleared, they would not start the construction.
