Naiyaandi to take on Vanakkam Chennai!

It looks Dhanush is all set to take on Vanakkam Chennai through his film Naiyaandi. Initially it was announced that Naiyaandi was planned for an October 10 release while Vanakkam Chennai was scheduled for the next day. But now Naiyaandi has been pushed to the next day so that it will directly take on the other film.

Naiyaandi has Nazriya playing the heroine opposite Dhanush. The film received U certificate from the censors. The romantic comedy is directed by Sargunam and Ghibran has provided the music. Naiyaandi is produced by S Kathiresan.

Vanakkam Chennai is the directorial debut of Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, wife of Udhayanidhi Stalin who is also producing the film under Red Giant Movies banner. The film has Shiva and Priya Anand playing the lead roles while Anirudh is taking care of the music.

Both these films are all set for release on the same day. Will have to see who will make an impact at the box office!
