Napoleon to play Gautham Karthik's father

Character artist Napoleon was a part of many interesting films and later, after he shifted to US, he had taken a sabbatical of sorts from acting.

Recently he was seen in Sasikumar’s Kidaari in a cameo and looks like he is going to follow it up with some more films. He will be seen as Gautham Karthik’s father in Muthuramalingam.

Director Rajadurai explains, “Initially, Karthik sir was supposed to do this role but he could not because of a surgery. Once we realized it wouldn't be possible for Karthik sir to act in our film, I felt that Napoleon would be apt for this role as he is trained in silambam, which plays a crucial role in the film. When I managed to reach him over phone, he told me that he hadn't acted in films but was quite impressed with the narration and said that he would give me 22 days to shoot his portions when he comes down to India on a one-month-long vacation".
