Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays transgender in 'Haddi'

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will portray the role of a transgender in his upcoming film 'Haddi'. Helmed by debutant Akshat Ajay Sharma, the new look poster of the film shows Nawazuddin's character sitting comfortably on a chair with a blood stained knife in hand surrounded by many women in the background.

The film also stars Anurag Kashyap along with Ila Arun, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Sachdeva, Shridhar Dubey, Rajesh Kumar, Vipin Sharma, and Saharsh Shukla.

Co-written by Akshat Ajay Sharma and Adamya Bhalla, 'Haddi' is a crime revenge drama. In the film, Nawazuddin plays two distinct characters - Haddi and Harika, a transgender woman.
