Nedumudi Venu to play the lead in 'Krishikkaran'

Nedumudi Venu will play the lead role of a farmer in the movie ‘Krishikkaran’, based on the short story of the same title by Thakazhi.

The short story “Krishikkaran” is part of the collection “Njan Piranna Nadu” published in the 1950s. The story is about the emotional bond between man and Nature. The short story was earlier staged as a drama.

The movie is directed by N N Byju. ‘Krishikkaran’ is expected to start rolling soon in Alappuzha. Dr P K Bhagyalakshmi writes the script of the movie.

Nedumudi Venu does the role of a farmer named Kesavan Nair. Prof Nedumudi Harikumar, Ganesh Krishna, Ambika Mohan, P Jayaprakash, Devadutt, G Purakkad, Zareena Wahab, Vidya Jose, and Drishya Anil do the other important roles.
