Anil Kapoor to promote 'Welcome' only with Nana

Dec 23, 2007 Subhash K. Jha

Mumbai, Dec 23 (IANS) If you haven't been seeing much of Anil Kapoor in the promotional blitzkrieg of Anees Bazmi's comedy "Welcome", it's because the actor refuses to talk about it without his on-screen brother Nana Patekar.

A source close to Anil told IANS, "Since Nana and Anil play brothers in the film and share equal space, he thinks it to be only reasonable that they speak about their film together."

The inimitable Nana is in Pune for two weeks because of a foot injury. Anil plans to drive down to Pune to do a joint press conference with him.

The two have come together in "Welcome" 18 years after they starred in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's "Parinda".

When asked about how the year 2007 was, Anil said: "I'm very happy with the way my production 'Gandhi My Father' was received all over the world.

"This isn't one of those small films that come and go. I believe it has a fabulous shelf life. And the film's impact will continue to be felt everywhere," said Anil promising many more surprises as a producer in 2008.
