Animated film on Shirdi Sai Baba to spread love, brotherhood

Mumbai, Oct 17 (IANS) The Shirdi Sai Baba Foundation is set to release an animated movie "Shirdi Sai Baba", the first on his rich voyage, an official said Monday. The film aims at spreading love among viewers.


"We are extremely excited about releasing the movie. Shirdi Sai Baba is the incarnation of god. He taught equality, brotherhood and love to the society. These animated stories and teachings of Sai Baba will definitely help to implant brotherhood and love among children and elders as well," said Aushim Khetrapal, chief founder of the Shirdi Sai Baba Foundation.


Khetrapal, the movie's producer, has rendered his voiceover for a few sequences.


The movie, which will release January 2012, revolves around key sequences, teachings and incidents written in Sai Satcharitra. It highlights Sai Baba's divine power and mystical charm, which still generates thrill among the devotees.


A combination of mythology and technology, the movie promises entertainment with dollops of animation and special effects. Produced by Orient Tradelink and conceived by Shirdi Sai Baba Foundation, the film contains 17 chapters of Sai Satcharitra, written by Hemadpanth.


Shirdi Sai Baba Foundation (SSBF), based in New Delhi, runs with the objective of spreading the teachings of Shirdi Sai Baba among masses, establish Sai temples and hospitals, as well as programmes for child protection.


Last month, the foundation had released a comic book on the life and teachings of Sai Baba. It generated a positive response, selling over 50,000 copies within a month.
