Mumbai, Sep 23 (IANS) He may not be the most sought after music director these days, but Bappi Lahiri continues to have his share of select admirers apart from the B. Subhashs and K.C. Bokadias of the industry.

Recently Anupam Kher had the opportunity of working with the always enthusiastic Lahiri on the background score of his film, "Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Mara", and he hasn't stopped raving since, reports Bollywood Trade.

"It's one of the finest background scores composed by any music director in recent times. I was looking for some really impressive background music as the film is song-less and Bappi-da has done full justice to it. I am glad that I had the good luck of working with him," Kher said.

Lahiri also described it as a unique experience. "I have done the background music for some really big films in the past, but this one was something that I really enjoyed doing. The riveting storyline and the subject inspired me into giving it my best shot."

He said it reminded him about the good old days when Kher received an award for "Saraansh" and he for "Sharaabi".
