Audiences like good stories: Tannishtha

Actress Tannishtha Chatterjee, who has worked in movies like "Road, Movie" and "Dekh Indian Circus", says the audience only wants films with good storylines.


"Audiences respect new stories and they want to watch well-written stories," said Tannishtha, who believes these are thus, good times for filmmakers with fresh ideas.


"It is a great era for the Indian film industry as there are plenty of issues that can be dealt with. The younger generation is far more exposed to the new techniques," she added.


The actress will be seen in the role of a bride imported from Bengal in Nila Madhab Panda's forthcoming film "Jalpari: The Desert Mermaid". The movie deals with the issue of female foeticide.


"Jalpari.." also features Parvin Dabbas, Rahul Singh, Suhasini Mulay and V.M. Badola in supporting roles.
