New Delhi, Oct 9 (IANS) It is raining comedies at the box office and humour specialist Priyadarshan's "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" that releases Friday falls in the same genre. But this time he is also offering a mix of science and mysticism.

He has roped in Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav along with Shiney Ahuja, Vidya Balan and Amisha Patel to add some fun and frolic.

The film revolves around a US-based couple Siddharth Chaturvedi (Shiney Ahuja) and Avni (Vidya Balan), who are visiting their family in India. The newly weds receive a warm welcome. But when Siddharth insists on staying on in his royal ancestral mansion, it upsets his relatives, especially his uncle Badrinarayan Chaturvedi (Manoj Joshi), who openly voices his disapproval.

Despite the opposition, Siddharth, ignorant of a secret that has destroyed the family for generations, moves into the haunted mansion with Avni. Initially, everything is normal but gradually mystery, shock and surprises start greeting them at every step.

Scientifically inclined, Siddharth ignores it at first, but the mysterious incidents are hard to neglect, so he decides to solve them with the help of his friend Aditya (Akshay Kumar).

A doctor by profession, Aditya is known for his eccentric ways and unpredictable nature. He agrees to help Siddharth and flies down to India to probe the mysterious occurrences in the mansion.

Batukshankar Upadhyay (Paresh Rawal), Radha (Amisha Patel) and Chhote Pandit (Rajpal Yadav) constantly hinder his work and create confusion. But Aditya manages to get to the bottom of the matter.

Priyadarshan's last release "Dhol" did decent business at the ticket window. "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" is inspired by hit Malayalam movie "Manichitrathazu". If the fusion in this film is as interesting as the Shobhana and Mohanlal starrer, it will rake in big money at the box office.
