Bored Bipasha dyes a darker shade

Mumbai, Nov 20 (IANS) Bipasha Basu, whose "Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal" is ready to hit the marquee Friday, says she got bored with her hair colour in the film and is therefore dyeing it a very dark shade.

"I got bored with the colour of my hair. If I wasn't an actor I would've taken my hair to the realm of the bizarre," Bipasha told IANS.

Apparently, she also wants to look younger in Siddharth Anand's yet-to-be-titled romantic comedy where she is paired with newcomer Ranbir Kapoor.

"I'm playing a much younger character. It would be very interesting to see him (Ranbir) paired with me. The character he's playing is very different from 'Saawariya'. I can't speak about my role. But it's a character no one will forget."

The film is being produced by Yash Raj Films and Bipasha starts shooting with Ranbir Nov 24.

"Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal" sees Bipasha along with her boyfriend John Abraham after a long gap.

"We had lots of fun doing the film. There has been too much pressure on both of us to be paired together. John and I have a very light, tongue-in-cheek romantic angle in 'Goal'. Not like 'Jism' where everything was dark and sensuous. Ours is a fun, sporty relationship in 'Goal'. Everyone looks real.

"We have actual footballers in the film. It's the story of discrimination against Asians in Britain who are passionate about football. It's a triumph-of-spirit story where the outcome is known and yet audiences will find themselves hooked."

Bipasha, who gave a powerful performance in "Corporate", plays a medical student.

"The football team doesn't have the money to hire a qualified doctor. My character Romana is persuaded to take up the job. It's a simple makeup-less character. John plays Sunny who isn't aware of his cultural roots. I've met boys like him in Britain. But the film is actually about celebrating football."

Bipasha now wants to do an adventure-sports film.

"I don't get to play in 'Goal', but I'd love to do film where I get to go on the field."

Another important film in her kitty is Ben Kingsley's film on the Taj Mahal.

"That won't be on till August-September 2008. The script is now being readied. I need to do a period film.Never done one before. But I like the way my career is going. No regrets. I feel very comfortable with where I am."
