Mumbai, Nov 26 (IANS) Sanjay Gadhvi, director of "Dhoom 2", could not enjoy the special screening of his latest flick with his family on his birthday, as he lost his brother-in-law the same day.

Gadhvi's family and friends were to watch "Dhoom 2" Wednesday, which was the director's 40th birthday as well. But the joyous occasion turned into a tragedy because of his brother-in-law's death.

"He was Sanjay Gadhvi's only sister's husband and just 34-years-old. He woke up in the morning feeling uneasy and died in his wife's arms before she could call for help. It's a huge blow for the director and has completely taken the shine from his moment of glory," said a source close to the director.

But the performance of "Dhoom 2" at the box office so far could bring a smile to Gadhvi's face. His film has opened to the biggest audience for any film this year. Could the passionate Hrithik-Aishwarya kiss in the movie have something to do with it?
