'Dor' to kick start Atlanta Indo-American Film Festival

New Delhi, Nov 16 (IANS) Director Nagesh Kukunoor's critically acclaimed "Dor", which is already set to be screened at Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival in New York, has also been chosen as the opening film for Atlanta Indo-American Film Festival.


Produced by Sahara One Motion Picture "Dor" canvases the journey of two women from different worlds and how these two lives come together through a tryst of destiny.


Commenting on the success of "Dor", Kukunoor said: "Sometimes an idea leaps out at you and a story writes itself. This is how it happened with 'Dor'. With the most incredible team I've ever worked with, 'Dor' has been my most satisfying film."


It stars Ayesha Takia, Gul Panag, Shreyas Talpade, Girish Karnad and Pratiksha Lonkar.


It has garnered laudatory reviews from media as well as stars such as Sachin Tendulkar, Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapur, Gauri Khan and others.
