Entry problems for 'No Entry'

Aug 25, 2005 IANS, Aug 25

Mumbai, Aug 25: The exhibitors of Boney Kapoor's much-awaited film "No Entry" may probably be in for a last-minute disappointment if the release of the film is rescheduled to a later date due to bickering financiers filing last minute claims.

Anxious exhibitors, who went ahead and announced the Aug 26 release of the film, are awaiting confirmation before they can open the advance booking for the film, which normally starts Monday.

The multiplexes have on the other hand kept other options open just in case the film is withdrawn at the last moment. "The film is a very promising one and the fact that it is an open week with no releases, coupled with the festive season, will definitely boost the collections but we are yet to get a confirmation on the release. We have kept our options open, in case the producers decide to postpone the film's release," says Sanjay Dalia, general manager, programming, Cineline.

The film's Mumbai distributor, Ramesh Sippy, is optimistic that the film will tide over the crisis and make it on the scheduled day.
