Kathmandu, July 27 (IANS) Bollywood actress Gracy Singh, who made the jump from telly soaps to the glittering big screen with "Lagaan", now wants to act in regional Indian films and is readying for her first Bengali movie.

"There are so many beautiful languages in India," Gracy said while taking a break in Kathmandu where she is shooting for her upcoming Kannada film "Meghave Meghave".

"I want to act in at least one film in each language. I want to act in Bengali, Gujarati and Malayalam films."

This year, it seems her wish will be coming true with the opportunity to act in at least two more non-Hindi films.

With Kannada lyricist-turned-film director Nagendra Prasad's new venture "Meghave Meghave", Gracy is making her debut in Kannada films.

Cast opposite Kannada hero Ram, she plays the unmarried daughter of a non-resident Indian family living in Nepal whose upcoming wedding triggers drama in the family, complete with song and dance.

Once they complete the shooting and return to India, Gracy will be discussing acting in a Bengali film to be made by a director from Tollywood, as the Bengali film industry is known.

"They contacted my secretary and I am very excited," Gracy told IANS. "However, at this stage, I would rather not talk about the film. Wait till I go back and discuss the role and dates and then you will know."

After her return, Gracy would also start working on the film "Asima".

Besides, she is also looking forward to the release of two new films, both of which are family dramas with a woman at the centre.

"Chanchal", in which she plays the obedient granddaughter whose dominating grandmother Bindu makes all her decisions for her, is a "nostalgic" film for Gracy, directed as it is by Indrajit, whose teleserial "Amanat" on Zee gave the actress her first break.

The other film is "Churiyaan", directed by Sukhwant Dadda, which will also see Vinod Khanna and Parikshit Sahani return to the big screen.
