Himanshu Malik upset over 'Koi Aap Sa'

Mumbai, Oct 14 (IANS) It looks like model-turned-actor Himanshu Malik's troubles are never-ending.

Barely had he got over the shock of being arrested for illegal driving in London, he now finds himself in a different crisis altogether, one which is much nearer home.

Speaking from London, Himanshu expressed shock and dismay over the publicity of his latest film "Koi Aap Sa".

"When I met the people in the production house (Balaji Telefilms) they had assured me it was a four-character story - Aftab Shivdasani, Natassha, Dipannita Sharma and me. That's how the script was narrated to me, and that's how we shot the film.

"The director Partho Mitra was new and very enthusiastic. All four of us were treated like principal actors. I never felt left out or short-changed. Now suddenly when the publicity is on I hear I'm nowhere in any of the posters, hoardings or the promos. This comes as a shock to me considering how hard I worked on my role," Himanshu told IANS.

Could Himanshu's obliteration from the script have something to do with his non-saleability at the box office, with his latest film "Rain" proving an utter damp squib?

"I'm aware I've no box office clout," admits Himanshu. "But surely the rest of the cast aren't exactly Shah Rukh, Kajol and Rani (Mukherjee)."
