Hurman caused delay in 'It's My Life': Boney Kapoor

Mumbai, April 30 (IANS) Boney Kapoor has finally decided to release the long pending Hurman Baweja-starrer "It's My Life". The filmmaker says that the actor himself was reponsible for the delay in the movie.

Directed by Anees Bazmi, "It's My Life" is a remake of a super hit Telugu film "Bomarrillu". The film has been ready for nearly a year and the release date has been repeatedly announced and cancelled, the most recent being July 23, 2010.

"Hurman himself is partly to blame for the delay. I wish he hadn't given priority to his other two films 'Victory' and 'What's Your Raashee?'. If he had listened to me and focused on 'It's My Life', he'd have had a super hit on his hand," Boney told IANS.

Hurman apparently gave dates to Ajit Pal's "Victory" and Ashutosh Gowariker's "What's Your Raashee?" and wanted "It's My Life" to come after them.

The gambit had not gone down well with Boney. He had decided to put "It's My Life" on the back-burner, his logic being: "If the project is not important enough to the hero, it isn't important for me either."

But now Boney is negotiating with a corporate house for a tie-up release. "I'll release 'It's My Life' right after 'Milenge Milenge'," said Boney.

But the question is, when will "Milenge Milenge" release?

"I needed to get Shahid's video in place. Now all I need from Kareena Kapoor is five-six hours. She has promised she would give me the time," said Boney.
