New Delhi, June 13 (IANS) Minissha Lamba, who caught everyone's eyes with her innocent smile in debut film "Yahaan" two years ago, says she is game for an item number, provided the "script demands it".

The svelte 22-year-old, currently very busy shooting three films "Anamika", "Kidnap" and "Shourya", told IANS: "Definitely I would love to do an item number for my film if the script demands it."

"Our industry is song-and-dance-based and these item numbers have purely an entertainment value. I see no wrong if someone chooses to do an item number and I will also do it if required," said the actress, who has so far acted in roles that have not demanded wearing skimpy clothes.

Glimpses of her dancing skills were seen in "Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd", her latest film this year.

Bollywood, the world's largest film industry by production volume and ticket sales, has served titillating dance numbers and raunchy sequences too. Some have gone on to become big musical hits in recent years.

"Anamika", a romantic thriller, is touted to be an adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca" (1938) which was later filmed by iconic Hollywood director Alfred Hitchcock, who cast Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine in the lead roles.

"The film narrates the story of a girl who is in love and gets married," said Minissha. "It's a beautiful romance, everything is picture perfect when suddenly she starts realising that all is not well. She understands that there are many secrets."

"You will see the ghosts from the past hampering her relationship with her husband."

"Anamika", being directed by Anant Mahadevan, casts Dino Morea as Lamba's husband and Bollywood's 'badman' Gulshan Grover among others.
