Kajol sports working woman look in 'My Name...': Manish Malhotra

New Delhi, Dec 20 (IANS) Celebrity designer Manish Malhotra has kept a subtle working woman look for Kajol in "My Name Is Khan" and says that it's close to her real life fashion statements.


"I didn't have to do much. Her look in the movie is in tune with her real life look. It's very American and that of a working women. As she is playing a hairstylist in the movie, special attention is given to her hair," Manish Malhotra told IANS in an interview.


Earlier, Malhotra had designed clothes for Kajol for the movies "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" and "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham".


In "My Name Is Khan", Kajol plays a single mother who lives in San Francisco, while Shah Rukh features as an unconventional hero who embarks on an incredible journey across America to win back the love of his life.


The designer refused to divulge more details about the movie, but said: "I know there are great expectations from the movie and I'm sure Karan will fulfil all those expectations."


Apart from this, Malhotra has designed clothes for Priyanka Chopra in "Pyaar Impossible" and is also doing his nephew Punit Malhotra's directorial debut "I hate Luv Stories".


According to Malhotra, he is the oldest member on the sets of the movie.


"It's so funny, but in Punnet's film, I'm the oldest member. The movie is very young and close to our hearts," he said.


"I Hate Luv Stories" has Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles and, talking about Sonam's look in the movie, Malhotra said: "She is a fashion icon and her look in the movie is very girlish and young." Click the Movie button below for more info:
