New Delhi, May 9 (IANS) Actress Kalki Koechlin's character in "Shaitan" required her to do a lot of charcoal painting and, instead of just posing in the act, she actually took up lessons to learn the art.

The actress, who recently tied the knot with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, spent three months trying her hand at making charcoal paintings, and managed to create an entire stack, says a source.

In fact, some of her paintings have been used in the film as well.

"Shaitan", releasing June 10, has been co-produced by Kashyap and Tipping Point Films, the youth film arm of Viacom 18. The Bejoy Nambiar-directed movie is about a group of Mumbai youngsters and also features Rajeev Khandelwal, Rajat Barmecha, Nikhil Chinappa, Sheetal Menon, and Rajit Kapoor, among others.
