Mumbai, Aug 29 (IANS) Actor-filmmaker Anuj Saxena has words of praise for Kangana Ranaut with whom he was rumoured to have had an altercation over his film "One And Only". He admits that with a star like Kangana date issues are bound to happen, but she was very professional and helpful throughout the making of the film.

With hits like "Once Upon A Time In Mumbai" and "Tanu Weds Manu" behind her, Kangana is one of the busiest actors in Bollywood nowadays. Hence she was facing date problems with "One And Only", the launch pad of Chirag Paswan, son of politician Ram Vilas Paswan.

"When we signed Kangana she wasn't such a big name. She was known, but she wasn't what she is today. We signed her, and then she did other films that went on to become hits and she became the Kangana Ranaut she is today. So maybe it's our lucky charm that worked for her," a smiling Anuj, told IANS.

"She has been very professional and helpful. She is a very busy star so in between we did have date problems but that happens with most films when one works with a star. But eventually it all worked well," he added.

"One And Only" has been helmed by Tanveer Khan. A love story about a boy in search of love, it also features Sagarika Ghatge and Neeru Bajwa.

Chirag was a well thought out part of the cast, says Anuj, who has been a television star and was seen on the big screen in "Chase".

"Chirag suited the role. Before we started the film, we did a little look test to understand his confidence level and to know if he has any kind of presence in front of the camera or not as we didn't want to put money on someone who couldn't carry off the role well.

"Friendship is one thing but business is something else. But it worked for us. So we roped him in," he added.

Anuj also hopes to cash in on Chirag's following in states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, owing to his father's popularity.

"He (Chirag) has a following. His dad is a politician and I happened to visit one of their constituencies while they were campaigning and the mass following that he has among common people in Bihar and UP is amazing. So I know for a fact that there are already many people who look up to him," he said.

The film is currently in post-production phase and will hit screens later this year.

"It's a family film with a message on how divided families can have an impact on children when they are growing up," revealed Anuj.
