New Delhi, July 12 (IANS) Director duo Abbas-Mastan, considered masters of the thriller genre, is back with "Naqaab". The love triangle releasing Friday promises intense excitement and nerve-wracking tension.

Starring Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna, it brings together the "Humraaz" team. In this film too both the leading men are pitted against each other and fall in love with the same girl, played by newcomer Urvashi Sharma.

The story goes like this:

Sophie (Urvashi), a young girl from a middle-class family, doesn't mind having a live-in relationship with millionaire Karan Khanna (Bobby Deol), but she also wants to experience true love.

When love beckons through Vicky Malhotra (Akshaye Khanna), who is out of work and is ready to risk everything to be an actor, she can't stop herself. Sophie develops a soft corner for Vicky, but it sours her relationship with Karan.

While showing the trio's relationship, the film peeps into their shady past and throws up some unexpected elements.

Who does Urvashi choose? What does their past hide?

Usually the director duo manages to create suspense. Films like "Aitraaz", "Humraaz" and "Soldier" had the ability to heighten the tension and meet viewers' expectations. However, "36 China Towon", which was the duo's last outing as directors, was a disappointment.

The cast of "Naqaab" couldn't be better, but the film's success depends on the script and its execution.
