Mumbai, May 13 (IANS) Naseeruddin Shah's much awaited directorial debut "Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota..." is a mix of romance, drama, thrill and comedy with four different tracks running parallel to each other - a' la "Darna Zaroori Hai".

Extensively shot in the US, the film stars Naseer's wife Ratna Pathak along with Paresh Rawal, Konkona SenSharma, Irrfan Khan and Suhasini Mulay. Upcoming talents Jimmy Shergill and Ayesha Takia will be seen sharing screen space with the veterans.

"There are four stories in the film interrelated to each other. But what sets it apart from other films is the treatment of the subject. We have tried to maintain the individuality of each story," said a source close to Naseer.

From Khalid Mohamed to Samar Khan to Ram Gopal Varma, each director has made a brave, but futile, attempt to cash in on the concept with "Silsilay", "Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye" and "Darna Zaroori Hai".

"Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota..." will be different, said the source, claiming that the film has a Hollywood look and feel that will appeal to the audience.
