Neetu Chandra plans quiet birthday with family

New Delhi, June 19 (IANS) Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra of "Garam Masala" and "Traffic Signal" fame, says she will keep her birthday Friday a close family affair.


"My birthday will be a family affair. I will visit the Hanuman temple in the morning, something all my family members do on their birthdays. In the evening I'd be flying to Delhi with my whole family for a party," Neetu told IANS.


Asked if she would be inviting friends for the party, she said, "You can't really avoid anybody but I have the habit of forgetting names. So if I skip someone, I'd be killed (laughs) though friends always drop in without even being invited," she added.


She refused to reveal her age saying: "One should not ask a girl about her age, and being an actor is another reason I should not be asked mine."


Her family comes as a priority for the small-town girl, who was in Patna a day ago to celebrate her parents' anniversary.


"I threw a surprise party for my parents' and I am sending them on a holiday to Mauritius."


She credits her parents and brother for her success.


Very few know that Neetu has been an avid sportsperson before stepping into the film industry. She has a black belt in Taekwondo and represented India in the national games for both Taekwondo and basketball.


Cooking and dancing are also a passion for the actor.


"I dance alone and with everyone. My feet start tapping whenever I hear music and I love to make people dance," said Neetu.


She said it is going to be a busy year for her as she has been roped in as the lead for four projects.


Though her much talked about item number in "Summer Of 2007" did not fetch her the required attention, she is still hopeful of climbing the ladder.


On her future plans, and said: "I don't plan anything. I work for the present, because the future depends on the present."
