Mumbai, March 30 (IANS) Bollywood debutant Pulkit Samrat is nervous ahead of the release of his film "Bittoo Boss", and rightly so! He says nervousness helps in performing better everytime, and he hopes the jitters remain with him lifelong.

"There is nervousness and there is a lot of excitement. There is equal amount of fear and confidence and I think it is going to stay lifelong," Pulkit said here.

"I hope that I get a chance to entertain people again. This (nervousness) will go on till the end of my life, because if you do not have that little nervousness then you don't take your work seriously," he added.

The 28-year-old was first noticed for his chocolate boy looks in Ekta Kapoor's "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi". He took a break from acting and took up other things, including a course in graphic designing.

Pulkit says he has put his heart and soul in the film as he got this opportunity after seven years of hard work and rejection in the industry.

"I am in Mumbai since the past seven years and I have been knocking on many doors waiting for some opportunity to come my way. In the mean time, I was also working on other things," he said.

"Bittoo Boss" revolves around a local boy and hero Bittu, who earns bread by making videos on wedding.

"It was very tough and I had to work very hard for it (to get the role and look right). Around seven to eight auditions happened, many meetings were held to discuss the character.

"When they were sure that I look like Bittu, then I was finalised," said the actor, who sports a tanned and stubbled look in the film.

The movie, set to release April 13, got a major promotional push when its music was launched by star Salman Khan.

Directed by Supavitra Babu, "Bittoo Boss" also features Amita Pathak.
