New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS) Patna boy Kranti Prakash Jha, who featured in Hindi movie "Vikalp", is trying to find a foothold in Bhojpuri cinema with his debut vehicle "Deswa", and says he is keen to work in films that talk about certain issues.

"'Deswa' is a hard-hitting issue-based film with a very relevant and poignant social message based on real incidents in Bihar between 2000-2005. It brings forth issues like corruption, high crime rate, no infrastructure, and migration," Prakash told IANS.

"Bihar is not only one, there have been many states which have gone through all this. So, the film tries to highlight all these day-to-day issues which has a connection with me."

Talking about his struggle, the 29-year-old said: "It has been a very difficult journey. I am from Patna, did my schooling there and then came to Delhi to do my graduation and post-graduation in history from Hindu College."

He says he wants to work in films, "which are based on real instances. Scripts which have substance in them is what I am looking for. The two films that I have done are based on real life issues."

He played a negative role in "Vikalp", and says he doesn't mind essaying characters with negative shades.

" 'Vikalp' gave me a chance to know my grey side. It was totally an enriching experience to explore myself. A negative role always gives more space to explore the character," he said. Click the Movie button below for more info:
