PM praises 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'Oct 2, 2006 IANS
Durban, Oct 1 (IANS) Bollywood blockbuster "Lage Raho Munnabhai" has a new fan in Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who is charmed by the film's depiction of Mahatma Gandhi's principles.
"Every generation has rediscovered the relevance of Gandhiji's message. I was heartened to see recently that back home in India the most popular movie this festival season is a film about a young man's discovery of the universal and timeless relevance of the Mahatma's message," Manmohan Singh said here Sunday.
The prime minister, on a three-day visit to South Africa, was addressing a Satyagraha Centenary Commemoration at the Kingsmead Stadium here.
Mahatma Gandhi launched the first satyagraha protest in this country on Sep 11, 1906.
